On my way to the last meeting of DFW FileMaker Developers, I drove thru the Dallas High Five construction project. Here are all these highways, ramps, and access roads going all over the place so the traffic can flow in the most effcient manner. This project is to get people where they want to go smoothly. Its a monster project, rebuilding the busiest intersection in Texas while vehicles are still using it 24-hours a day. It's basically an impossible project.
It struck me that my attempt to re-write our company database would be very similar. Many files merging and using data from other files while not interrupting the flow from the users. The main roads represent the tables, and the bridges, entrance and exit ramps are relationships. Vehicles represent data flowing back and forth across the network.
Ive named the project "Cloverleaf" because of it's similarity to the cloverleaf interchange. Here I will document the progress of the project
