< things / what's important?
Jesus is.

Many people talk about God in general, but do not profess the name of Jesus as their savior. People refer to "you and your God". Some believe many saviors will be represented in heaven. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me..." John 14:6

My relationship with Jesus, my savior is what is most important to me.

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14

Jesus is the gate I choose.

Testimony
I had spent an afternoon in Jan. 2002 at an attorneys office, trying to sort out some legal problems I was having. This had been going on for a year and a half. My attorney in Ft. Worth had not given me much hope, but today I was seeking the advice of a firm in Dallas. By the time I left I was almost in tears as we found out a lawsuit had already been filed. It was no longer a threat but a reality. This was going to cost big bucks to settle, but would cost much more to fight in court.

When I got to my car, I proclaimed that God was right here beside me through this entire time. Right here!

I did not know what to do, but I was a bundle of nerves and sick to my stomach by the time I got home. I got out my bible and prayed that as I read, God would give me an answer of some kind. I told him it did not matter what his answer was, I just needed to know which way to go. As long as I knew it was His answer, then it would be the right answer. I believe He would give me wisdom as promised in James 1:5-6

It just so happened that I was in the book of Matthew in my bible reading, so I picked up where I left off around chapter 5. It was not long until I came to verses 25-26 "Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. I tell you the truth, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny."
This brought a smile to my face and to me, was the clear direction to take. While it wasn't the direction I had wanted to take, God was telling me to do otherwise. The next morning I made the necessary arrangements.

You might think that God let me wimp out and pay a big settlement instead of fighting it. No, I believe He is preparing me for something later on. He also provided the means to pay for it. I could not pay it myself, He enabled me to pay the settlement.

Just like He made a provision for me to enter into His kingdom. He made it possible for all of us. The provision is Jesus Christ.

If you would like to pray to receive Christ into your heart, pray this prayer: "Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be." This prayer and the next steps you need to take are found at www.greatcom.org/laws/english/. It is by Campus Crusade For Life, a very trusted Christian organization.

Also please email me if you made this decision or if you have any type of prayer request. jameykey@jkat.com

God bless you.
