Metropolitan Christian School

Metropolitan Christian School
February 17, 2005

Holy Father, thank you for Metropolitan Christian School. I am fortunate that all my children spent some time at this place. Im thankful for the safety they were surrounded with, the friends they made, and the Christian training they received. I know they had a lot of good times there, and I had peace of mind knowing they were somewhere safe and familiar. I appreciate the lifelong friends I have made from MCS too.

Lord, please use this school as your instrument. May it be a place of learning about your great love. Lord, I pray that the teachings, the attitudes, the policies, and the practices of MCS would all be pleasing to you. I pray, O Lord, that you would be lifted up daily in all the activities and events.

Father, I pray that the entire leadership and staff would never forget that that the reason MCS exists is to glorify you. I pray that they would remember that they serve you, by serving the students and the parents of this area. I pray the spirit of serving would overflow from their hallways each day. Thank you for the parents who have entrusted their children to this place and it’s employees. I pray this trust will never be violated, I pray the trust would honor and please you. Lord, please impress on these parents to help their children and to be involved in their lives, and to also be involved in the school activities as much as possible. This school counts on volunteers in so much of what it does, and I know it is pleasing to you when workers serve cheerfully and with a grateful heart. God bless those who have so generously given of their time, their money, resources and talents.

Lord, I ask for your protection on your school. Please blanket the entire campus and everywhere the students and teachers may travel to with your all-encompassing protection. Please guard their minds and hearts as well as their physical safety. Show them how to be in the world without the world being in them.

Lord, at this time I pray especially for the finances of Metropolitan Christian School. I believe they have been faithful with the money that they have been entrusted with. Lord, I know they do the best that they can and try to squeeze every bit of value out of each and every dollar. It takes a great deal of money to run a school of this size and I think they do a tremendous job with the amount of money that comes in. Lord, please bless this school financially. Please relieve them of the stress of worrying about paying the bills and the payroll. This can cause so much anxiety and paralyze the leaders and their effectiveness. I know many have had sleepless nights, worrying about the finances and even the future of the school. Please, Lord God, remove this fear from the staff, school board and financial advisors. Lord, these people are working hard for you, and I plead with you that they not have to be put through this pain. But your will not mine. If there is some deeper reason for this, Lord I praise you that you will be glorified and thank you for putting us through these trials.

Please honor the prayers of those who lift this school up to you. Lord, if it is your will, bless this place in a great way that it can prosper and serve many children for many years to come. Lord, if it is your will, how wonderful it would be for the staff members to be well rewarded for their efforts. How wonderful it would be for them to have their fears in their personal finances removed. Lord, I know you are at work right now bringing comfort and calm to the employees of this ministry. They just want to pay their bills, please enable them dear Lord. Thank you that they don’t have to live in fear, but in complete trust in you.

Lord, let us put away our differences and complaints long enough to see that the good here far outweighs anything we may see as bad. Please keep me from having a bad attitude because of something I may not like and not withhold my love and support of this school.

Lord Jesus, these children are so very important. I pray at some point, each student would learn and understand how your son was sent to die for them and would accept Him as their savior. Work in their lives dear Lord, that they may grow up trusting you and serving you. I pray they would share your wonderful love, and go into the world to tell others about you and your saving grace.

Holy Father, this is a good place. It was founded by you and is sustained by you. It exists for you, and we serve you at your pleasure. I thank you for Metropolitan Christian School and ask you to bless each activity, teacher, student, parent and family that your kingdom would be advanced.

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
