Heavenly Father, I approach you and recognize you for who you are. You are the all powerful, all knowing God who knows us and loves us. Lord, you are the one I live for and it is by your good grace that I am even here breathing.
Lord, you have given us the ministry represented here at Metropolitan Bible Church, and we are so thankful for the lives that have been changed in and around MBC. Lord, we serve here so that your love and the salvation you offer may be presented to the people you have sent to us. Lord, this is your church and we are your servants. I pray that we would always remember that and it is you who we aim to glorify and not ourselves.
Father, we pray that you would be honored by the work of this church and the work of this group of men, even as they meet tonight. I pray that they would humble themselves before and present themselves to you as workmen approved and eager to serve.
Holy God, please keep your hand on these men as they meet and in their daily lives that they would submit to your will in conducting the business of this church. I pray they would practice the principals taught in your word and apply them in a way that would please you. I pray you would send direction to them and that they might prioritize the many chores, plans and expenses in the way that would have the greatest impact for your heavenly kingdom. I pray they would be able to squeeze every drop of value from each dollar dropped in the offering plate. I pray they would work in tandem with the sacrificial giving so that your resources would be multiplied and blessed in a way that we stand no chance of doing on our own.
Lord, I ask for protection for these men. For their minds and their hearts. That is where the enemy will try to derail the work you have started here. Guard them, protect them, keep them. Oh Lord, let nothing come out of their mouths that would be disrespectful to you or cause any strife in your house. Please remove any unclean or unproductive thoughts from lingering in their hearts.
Lord, these men are here to do your work. Please bless their efforts that lost people would be saved, and saved people would grow red-hot to serve their Lord and Savior!
Father, as a member of this congregation I pray for your generous blessings on these fine servants and their families. Father, I pray you would take from them the stresses of dealing with financial reports and plans. Please calm them so that they may make good decisions for us all at MBC.
Thank you for the lives of these men and their willingness to serve in this vital ministry. I know how much work and dedication is required and I am so thankful we have gifted individuals who are willing to give that much of themselves. They have big hearts and are wanting to serve you. Bless them in their desire to serve.
In Jesus name, Amen.
